The Doctors

Dr. Natalia Vidal

Convent Glen Dental’s Dr. Natalia Vidal is a graduate from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Dentistry. Born in Moscow, Russia, she speaks fluent Spanish, Russian as well as English, and was set on her career path at the early age of 12 years old.

Wanting to broaden her reach in the dental industry, Dr. Vidal has taken many courses in implantology and orthodontics, as well as being an accredited member of the IAO, ODA, RCDSO and CDA.

Dr. Vidal credits her expertise with working with children to her time working at a paediatric office in Winnipeg. She aspires to making early childhood visits comfortable to create positive experiences for kids coming into Convent Glen Dental.

When she is not in the office, you can find Dr. Vidal spending time with her husband and three children. She plays an active role in her son’s basketball and daughters equestrian lessons. She also enjoys skiing, swimming, spending time at the cottage and water sports.

Dr. Victoria Nalivo

Dr. Nalivo graduated from Hungary’s University of Debrecen Medical School and Science Center in 2010, and finished the equivalency process to practice in Canada in 2013. Initially focused on orthodontics and pediatric dentistry, she is now most passionate about oral surgery, including grafts and implants, as well as esthetic dentistry.

Dedicated to developing as a professional, Dr. Nalivo often participates in continuing education courses to help her provide the best and most modern care. Patient comfort and oral health are Dr. Nalivo’s top priorities, and she strives to make complex treatments as easy as possible for her patients by using the newest technology.

Outside of the office, she enjoys travelling, outdoor activities, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She has two active children that keep her on her toes.

Dr. Karen Rief

Dr. Rief earned her B.Sc. Microbiology and Immunology in 1988 at McGill University, and her D.D.S. at University of Western Ontario in 1992. Following dental school, she moved to Ottawa and began practicing at Convent Glen Dental Centre with Dr. John Mosco. For over 25 years, she has provided patients at Convent Glen with exceptional dental care.

Patient care and forming personal relationships are daily highlights for Dr. Rief. She enjoys meeting different generations of families, many of whom are original patients who have been with Convent Glen for over 25 years.

Outside the office, Dr. Rief enjoys yoga, hiking, cross-country skiing, and has recently taken up golf. She is married with 3 adult children and a soft-coated wheaten terrier.
